Financial Assistance

We’re painfully aware of the lack of arts funding in our schools today.  Therefore, we’ll work with you thoughtfully, personally and thoroughly to help make our programming as affordable as possible for your school or organization.

The Opportunities and Incentives Fund (see below) is designed especially for those schools and organizations whose resources cannot meet the full cost of our programming.

If you happen to be located in New York State, you may also wish to work through your local Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) which provides additional funding incentives.*

Did you know?…

Schools registered with their local BOCES will receive reimbursements on a percentage of all monies spent on arts-in-education programming.

Finally, when applicable, our administrator will be happy to work with you to pursue community, private, and federal grants and assistance.

Our Opportunities and Incentives Fund was created to provide immediate and direct financial assistance to schools and classrooms in need. It is intended to provide opportunity for those schools and districts with limited resources, and additional incentive for those who are either thinking of working with us for the first time or considering expanding their programming with us to a new level.  It is a funding formula that has proven mutually beneficial over the years for us and our partner schools.

How the Opportunities and Incentives Fund works:

Based on our understanding of your financial status, we will designate assistance or matching funds to be applied toward the cost of your requested program(s).  In some instances, we may ask your permission to designate your school as a “host” school for sponsors, colleagues, and observers from other schools who would like to see our work in the classroom first-hand.  (If permission has been granted, our education administrator will always notify you, prior to our work with your students, if any such guests will be visiting your school to observe the programming.)

The Opportunities and Incentives Fund for the 2003-2004 school year is sponsored in part by the Stewart’s Foundation, the Sofia Foundation, and generous gifts from individual donors. In past years, the Fund has been made possible through generous grants from individual donors, corporations, and foundations such as:

  • GE Fund
  • Pfizer Foundation
  • Lockheed Martin Foundation
  • Yamaha Foundation
  • Presser Foundation
  • Xerox Foundation
  • Stewart's Foundation
  • The Sofia Foundation
  • New York State Council on the Arts
  • New Jersey State Council on the Arts
