Dear Arts-in-Education Enthusiast,

Here at THE LEARNING ARTS, we have been committed to education and life long learning for more than 30 years. Education is the centerpiece of our mission. Our work with educators and students in more than 30 states has won us national recognition and our unique innovations in arts-based teaching and learning, linked to our signature approaches to interdisciplinary thinking, creativity, and knowledge integration place us at the cutting edge of educational research, theory and practice. We work with students of all ages and all abilities.

We also contribute to the professional development of educational leaders, teachers and administrators via partnerships with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and teacher centers nationwide. Most importantly, our teaching artists and frontline consultants are dedicated professionals in both arts and education arenas. Each of our award-winning artists is also a master teacher who brings to the classroom a passion for learning and a gift for reaching out to students.

Our programs are interactive learning experiences designed to spark students' thinking, curiosity, and the desire to learn more. From one-hour workshops exploring the inner life of music and art to music-centered programs illuminating the inner workings of science and the humanities, our programs support and extend academic curriculum standards while building important connections between ideas. Our programs are at once playful, serious, creative and fun.

Small group formats (30-60 students) are our specialty, emphasizing lively student participation and the power of well-crafted ideas. Assembly concerts and made-to-order programs are also available.

As a compliment to our student programming, we provide in-service programs for teachers focusing on meeting new and changing standards, arts integration, creativity, interdisciplinary learning, stress management, leadership, minority role models and personal renewal.

We look forward to speaking with you, to thinking creatively about your needs, and to creating educational options for your children that can make a difference for a lifetime.
